Frequently Asked Questions

If you are a new or returning parent and have questions about our studio or our policies, read the FAQs below or email us! All questions, inquiries, or comments are welcome.

New Parent Questions

  • At what age can my child start taking dance lessons?

At AHAD, children can start ballet at 3 years old and add other styles as they grow. Tap and Jazz can start at 4-5, and Contemporary and Hip Hop can start at 6-7.

  • When do fall class begin & how long do they last?

The dance year runs just like a school year, September-June. Registration for fall begins in the summer, and new students can be added through the winter. All AHAD students will participate in our end-of-year recital in June!

  • How do I see potential days and times of weekly classes?

We do not release our entire schedule to the public, but we have a variety of days and times available for each level.  If you are interested in potential class times for the fall please just call or email us! The 2022 Fall Schedule should be complete by mid-summer.

  • How do I register for summer or fall classes?

Summer classes can be registered for online (follow the "summer" link). To register for fall classes you can email, call, or stop in the studio. You do not need to meet us in person to register, everything can be taken care of through email.

  • Can my child join the AHAD Company if we missed the audition?

YES! We are always open to evaluating dancers for our competitive program. Even if you miss the audition date, please let us know you are interested and we will schedule a call to chat with you. 

Returning Parent Questions

  • Where can I see/pay my balance or view my dancer's schedule?

  • Where can I view the upcoming dates for competition, Nuctcracker, or the recitals?

VIsit our newly created calendar page! Lots of days and times are there for you to see.

  • I need to add or drop a class from my dancer's schedule?

Just send us an email with the class or style you would like to add or drop. 

  • Do you offer any incentives if I bring the studio a new student?

Yes! Any current AHAD family who refers us a new student will receive a $30 tuition credit (and the new family will too!)
