What We Offer
Our core mission is to provide a thorough technique-centered dance education to our students. We endeavor to provide performing opportunities through our annual Nutcracker Ballet, our collaboration with the Livonia Symphony Orchestra, our competitive dance company, and our annual end-of-year recital performance.
In addition to teaching the technique, musicality, and vocabulary of dance, we hope to instill our love for the art and history of dance, and a sense of confidence in each student who passes through our doors.
The faculty at Angie Hahn’s Academy of Dance is comprised of senior staff with no less than 15 years of teaching experience, and as much as 30 years of individual experience. Many senior staff members have degrees in dance, professional performance experience, and additional dance education via prominent programs.
Our younger staff members are trained and mentored by senior staff, and many of our students have furthered their dance studies by obtaining degrees in dance and have taught professionally in New York, throughout the Metro area, and at the university level.
Former and current students have been accepted to nationally acclaimed summer programs, including ABT, Joffrey Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Boston Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and dancers have successfully performed on Broadway and with companies such as San Diego Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet, among others.
